MVP Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. I am a Charleston-based wedding photographer specializing in weddings, elopements, and micro-weddings throughout Charleston, the Lowcountry, and beyond. I also photograph a limited number of portrait sessions each year for maternity, families, couples, newborns, and branding.
-
I am based in Charleston, South Carolina, and regularly photograph weddings and portrait sessions in Mount Pleasant, Summerville, downtown Charleston and surrounding areas, Isle of Palms, and Folly Beach. Travel is available for destination weddings and elopements.

My style is best described as timeless, emotional, and documentary-inspired, with a strong film influence. I gravitate toward muted highlights, rich and true-to-life colors, and imagery that feels soft yet intentional. I blend gentle guidance with organic storytelling, allowing moments to unfold naturally while still creating refined, elevated images that age beautifully.
-
Yes — always, but gently. You’ll never be left wondering what to do with your hands. I guide you into natural movement and comfortable positioning, while leaving room for real emotion and interaction. The goal is for your images to feel effortless, not staged.

All wedding collections include thoughtful planning support, timeline guidance, hand-edited images, and a private online gallery for viewing and downloading your photographs. Select collections also include Fujifilm Instax instant film, captured organically throughout your day and presented as tangible keepsakes — one-of-a-kind moments you can hold in your hands.
Each collection is designed around the pace and intention of your wedding day.

Curations is part of my skill set. Every wedding is unique, and image count varies depending on coverage length and the flow of the day. Rather than promising a fixed number, I focus on delivering a complete, cohesive story filled with meaningful moments and emotion.
That said, industry standard typically averages around 40 images per hour of coverage, and galleries are delivered with care to ensure consistency, quality, and intention over quantity.
-
Absolutely. I specialize in Charleston elopements and micro-weddings, offering coverage for intimate celebrations, courthouse ceremonies, destination elopements, and small gatherings with your closest people.
-
Most couples book 9–18 months in advance, especially for peak Charleston wedding seasons. Elopements and micro-weddings may have more flexibility, but dates are limited each year to ensure a high level of care for every client.

Once you inquire, we’ll connect to ensure we’re a great fit. A signed contract and retainer officially reserve your date. From there, I’ll guide you through planning, timing, and next steps — you don’t need to have everything figured out right away.
-
Once you submit your inquiry, you can expect to hear back from me within 72 hours. If your date is available and your location works with my travel schedule, I’ll reach out by email or text to schedule a quick consult call so we can connect and talk through your plans.
If we feel like a great fit and I’m the right person to document your wedding day, I’ll send over an official wedding photography proposal. Once the proposal is accepted, you’ll sign the contract and submit the non-refundable retainer, which officially reserves your date on my calendar.
From there, we’ll have a few touchpoints leading up to the wedding where I help build your timeline alongside your planner or vendor team and go over any shot lists if you’d like to use one.
Then comes the best part… wedding day.
Within one week, you’ll receive a preview gallery with some favorite moments from the day. Your full gallery is delivered within 6–8 weeks, depending on the season.

Sort of!
To reserve your wedding date, a non-refundable retainer of 33% of your total collection is due at the time of booking. Once that’s secured, the remaining balance is simply divided into two additional installments, both due before the wedding day.
This structure allows couples to spread out payments while keeping the booking process straightforward and stress-free — so you can focus on planning a beautiful celebration while knowing your memories are in good hands.
